Affordable Family Fun in the Heart of Vermont Rock of Ages has been dazzling guests with its mammoth granite quarries and breathtaking artistry since 1924 when the tour programs first began, so we'll make you feel right at home when you come for a visit. 

Everyone wants to see the quarry! Rock of Ages Smith quarry is nearly 600 feet deep! Watch our quarriers as they cut enormous blocks of granite. Our derricks (cranes) can lift up to 250 tons!  

Our artisans will amaze you: Visit the factory to see sculptors and artisans carve and transform hard, durable granite into delicate works of art.  

Cutting in stone is a BLAST: Watching our artisans will inspire you. You'll want to try your hand at our sandblast activity where we teach you to successfully sandblast a design into stone. You'll leave with a stone gift made by your very own hands!
